What type of vehicles do you have for rent?
topAt Drivewest we offer a full range of cars, manual or automatic from small hatchbacks to large family sedans, full size wagons, 8 seat people movers, mini buses, 4WDs, utes, vans and trucks . They are from leading manufacturers such as Toyota, Mitsubishi, Ford and Hyundai.
Are the vehicles new?
topYes, we offer the latest models, all with air conditioning and power steering.
Are your rates competitive?
topYes, if you are comparing the same products and conditions. PLEASE TRY US, we guarantee to please all of our renters.
Can I hire a vehicle if I don't own a credit card?
topYes, we offer Cash Bond Rentals with 3 valid forms of identification, to all rentals based from depot to depot.
When I rent a vehicle, what time is it due back?
topA rental day is based on a 24 hour period. For example, 9am Monday to 9am Tuesday is a 1 day rental. From 9am Monday to 9am Thursday is a 3 day rental, and so on. All Commercial vehicles i.e. truck rentals, utes and 1 tonne van hires are on a morning to morning basis only.
Do I have to collect my rental vehicle or do you deliver?
topWe are centrally located in the Perth Metropolitan area for you to collect your vehicle. We also offer delivery to airports, hotels and all metropolitan areas for your convenience. Conditions apply.

topYes, at Drivewest we never treat you like another number. We offer you special rates and services to meet every customer's individual needs. We also offer 'monthly special deals'. See our specials page on this website.

How can I make a booking?
topSimply click onto our contact page on this site, enter your booking details and submit your form. One of our reservation officers will contact you to confirm your booking and answer any further queries you may have.
Are my details kept confidential?
topWhen you visit our website and if you choose to provide us with personal information, for example, details required for renting a vehicle. We can assure you that this information is kept confidential and never provided to any third party.
Do you offer roadside assistance?
topYes, all our vehicles are covered with 24 hour roadside assistance. Should any problems occur with your rental vehicle, you can contact roadside assist by simply making a telephone call.
What if I cancel my reservation?
topDrivewest require a $100 deposit when reserving a vehicle. This is non-refundable on confirmed reservations.
Is my rental car insured?
topYes, Drivewest comprehensively insure all vehicles. Drivers aged 25 to 75 years have a standard liability of $3000. This can be reduced to $385 by paying $16.00 per day. Groups H-J have a standard liability of $3000, which can be reduced to $800 by paying $16.00 per day.
Drivers aged between 21-24 and 76+ (subject to acceptance) have a standard liability of $3000, which can be reduced to $800 by paying $16.00 per day. Group H-J has a standard liability of $3000, which can be reduced to $1500 by paying $16.00 per day (Groups F and G not permitted to drivers under 25 years).
ALL RENTALS SUBJECT TO NORMAL INSURANCE CONDITIONS AS PER RENTAL AGREEMENT.
A full liability of up to $3000 applies in the event of wildlife damage or single vehicle unsealed road damage.
Group M & N have a standard liability of $3000.00 which can be reduced to $800.00 @ $19.00 per day.
What type of drivers license can I use?
topDrivewest recognise all current Australian licences. Overseas visitors may use recognised current licences issued by their country of residence or an international licence.
Do I have to pay GST and VRRF?
topAll rates are inclusive of GST. VRRF (Vehicle Registration Recovery Fee) applies to all rentals.
Do I need to fill the tank before returning the rental vehicle?
topDrivewest supply our vehicles with a full tank at the commencement of the rental. We ask that they are returned this way or a refuelling charge will apply. However the option to pre-purchase a tank of fuel is available and is especially recommended for airport rentals as fuel is not available from airports.
What forms of payment do you accept?
topDrivewest welcomes , MasterCard, Visa, Diners Club and American Express. A surcharge of 2% for Visa and Mastercard and 3% for American Exress and Diners will apply. Drivewest also accepts travellers cheques and cash. Cash bonds start at $500 and only apply to depot to depot rentals.
Can I rent extras such as roof racks and baby seats?
topYes, you can. If you are going windsurfing or want to carry surfboards then Drivewest can supply surf bars and roof racks to suit group J @ $5.50 per day. Insurance regulations mean that you must supply any ropes or straps required to hold your property in place. Groups K and L have tow hitches as standard equipment.
We can also supply baby seats and booster seats at $2 per day plus a $12 cleaning fee.
Peak season surcharges may apply from 1st Dec - 28th Feb, add $5 per day. Please enquire when making your booking.
